I just noticed that the left front turn signal lamp on my '05 FLSTN is always illuminated. When I activate the left turn signal switch the lamp flashes properly, just does not go out when the flashing stops. All other turn signal lamps seem to function properly.
My signals are a pain too. After relocating them I ran into the same problem. Inside the socket or rather behind the signal (inside) the wires might be touching or the ground may have slipped off. I just keep slowly rotating the inside of it until it works properly....just a major pain. Or you can just replace it.

OK, thanks for the info. I'll get into it this weekend and at least try to fix it before going the replacement route.

Anybody had this problem before?
I just realized that I had not posted the solution for this problem.
Over a couple of weeks I kept screwing around with it until the bulb jammed in the socket, would not come out. The problem was obviously in the socket, so I finally decided to just replace the harness assembly. I went to the local dealer and was chatting with the parts guy when one of the techs (older guy, didn't know him but I've seen him at a local tavern) walked up and heard my description of the problem. He said he'd like to check it out, might be able to help. Like me, he could not get the bulb to come out. Using a miniature flat-tip screwdriver he popped the reflector/socket out, worked the bulb out and showed me that one of the internal contacts was bent out of position. He straightened and repositioned it, put the bulb back in, and all was well! Took about 10 minutes at most. I thanked him and asked what was the tab -- no charge, but I owe him a beer next time I see him at happy hour.
