If I had waited 2 years after buying my night train, I would have bought the custom. The custom is really what I have always wanted, but figured I would get the night train, chrome out the black motor and have a custom. As you can see, i've done the fender struts, dash, air cleaner, also horn cover, coil cover, belt guard and i'm going to order the chrome engine package. It's getting there.
hey monkeyman, looki'n good.Like you say rome wasn't built in a day.I was going to get night train until i saw the FXSTC
back in harley line up.In response to you george c,the point being if you didn't want the dyna rear end but want a more traditional look then the option of hidden shocks is there."Different strokes for different folks",beauty is in the eye of the beholder george c.
I picked up a black one a few days ago and had then lower it before I even picked it up, I will post pictures in a little while, I am late for a meeting . . . . .[sm=biker2.gif]
OK first try on this forum I org. wanted a Dyna untill I saw the middle picture on the harley site and this bike in person, my dealer received two of these before any Dynas so I guess I need to change my user name now
Toss out those skinny apes for a set of wired fat bars, add a real seat and you're at the same price as adding a chrome kit.
What's the point?
It's a Wide Glide with a Softail.. It makes no sense to me.
I agree with what you would do to the bike to make it great, but that's what the factory should have done in the first place to make it different from the WG..
The "mini-apes" are actually 1 1/4" in diameter and the wiring is ran internally through them - from the factory. I sat on one last week, and my feet position is the same as it is on my 05' Standard w/ it's LePera Bare Bones seat. So, they have either moved the forward controls forward more for this year/bike, or the King-Queen seat puts you back further in the saddle, as opposed to my 05's 2-up stock seat does. I love my solo seat, but as for a partner seat - this Custom's seat is very, very comfortable. I think they did a great job with it. But for my taste's, T-Bars would have to be added in place of the "little monkeys".
I agree with you, untill I saw the middle picture on the Harley site, take a look at that [sm=drooldude.gif] picture, You have to pull up at the arrow to the left of the picture for the FXSTC
I might still try and change out the bars, I really do like the T-Bar look!!
