Does anyone know if a fuel level sender from a 2008 night train will plug into the wiring harness on a 2006? I swapped my 06 tank for a 08 tank and I am trying to figure out if a 2008 fuel level sender unit will work with my current wiring. Thanks in Advance.

 

Are you talking about the Fuel pump/Float etc plug top of tank or Fuel level gauge under tank? Does the 08 Tank have its origional fuel pump in or are you gonna swap out your 2006 unit?

 

I am talking about the fuel level float that plus into the plate on the top of the tank. My bike is a 06 carb version so it does not have a fuel pump. My plan was to use an 08 fuel level sensor in my new 08 tank and to plug that into the plate that mounts on the top of the tank. As far as I am hearing the 06 and 08 tanks have different brackets to attach the fuel level sender, so that is why I am looking to replace my 06 level sender with an 08 and hopefully make it all work.
