Default bug marks

My recently aquired harley is in mint condition with the exception of the lowers of the front forks. They have a lot of bug marks on them, looks like it is into the clearcoat. Is there any way to polish them out without have to buy new tubes?

Almost all HD lowers take a toll after some time, I'm having mine powder coated.

Thats why they make chrome ones, most likely more stones than bugs that mark them up. I do have to say I seem to kill more bugs with the bike than the car

Ditto for the chrome lowers...the best solution. Also, check out the below post from a guy that cleaned them up using progressivly finer grits of sandpaper...and a few beers. They look great.

I did the sandpaper/polish trick on my fxrp and it came out great. The clearcoat was flaking off so I figured what the heck. Put chrome sliders on the softail and that came out nice too. Either way, it's much easier to clean the front end on those bikes.

Try using peroxide on the forks.
