Shock adjuster question
Okay got a bonehead question. I have installed shocks before but have never dealt with these lowering kits. Got these stockers on ebay with kits installed for a heck of a deal. BUT in my dumbness what order does everything go on? Meaning how do I adjust and mount up these things. I am assuming I use the one chrome nut to adjust and then mount up (like in my first pic). They are rated to lower the bike up to 2 inches but I guess I just cannot see how that is possible. Anyway pics are attached.

The longer the shock the more it pushes down on the swingarm. So by installing the longer bolt extensions it extends the shock out pulling the bike down. Does that make sense to you? Get down and look how the soft tail suspension works, and you will see. These kits like yours don't work on Deluxe's like my bike, because they have a longer shock installed from the factory, is my understanding. THe way you have the bushings mounted is correct, just make sure the frame mount is in between the two bushings.

Thanks it all makes sense I was just unsure of where to place that extra chrome adjuster nut. I think I got it now. I still don't see how I will be able to lower it much but we will see!
insted of cranking the chrome nut down towards the shock...
it starts off there(when installing the shock), and you crank it towards the end of the shaft once mounted.
this enlarges the shaft(that didn't come out right), therefor lowering the bike.
when you take your shocks off, take note of how they are mounted, the locktite nut will be tight just so a few threads show.
hope that help clears it up.

Taking those stock shocks w/lowering bolts in and out were the biggest pain in the a$$. Those things gave me more of a headache than anything else done on my bike. My airride install was a breeze compaired to them. Make sure to grab a 12 pack.
The longer the lower and the shorter the higher...Good Luck

I plan to post picks and have a list of things like possible adding some Nash gimp hangers.
Got the shocks on. Right now I am an inch lower but plan to take it to 1.5 inches next week. Wasn't really all that bad. MUCH easier than EVO model shocks like I have done before. Here is a crappy phone pic for now.
Now if I am wrong please some tell me now!
