Default Engine drain plug stuck

I can't get the drain plug out of an 02 1450 night train.

I already twisted an allen socket with a 16" breaker bar. WTF is going on here?

What are your thoughts on using an impact driver on it? I was just thinking about the case. Don't know if I really have another choice.

Was the bike up to operating temperatures? That might help and it should be when changing oil.
On my 2005 Fat Boy you can use an allen wrench or a socket. I always use a socket.
Are you sure you are trying to loosen the oil drain plug and not a freeze plug.

I'm pretty sure it is the oil drain plug, but if someone could chime in with the location of the engine oil drain, I can make sure before continuing.

The bike was not hot. Here's the deal. This is the bike from the "biker down.." thread. The jerk that picked up Bill's bike from the accident left it on its side and most of the oil drained out of the tank. I obviously could fill the tank and start it, then try. I just did not want to waste the oil.

That is what I told a buddy of mine I was going to do, and he said to be careful if it is that tight and you warm the engine up, the thread could come out with it. Since it is already that tight, he really did not think warming the bike was going to make a difference. If anything, he thought maybe getting it hot will expand everything, and thus possibly making it tighter.

Yeah, I know. I'm working on an 02 1450 night train. I did not realize I did not type that in my original question. Thanks for any help you can give.

Ok guys, thanks. I'm pretty sure I was trying the correct one. I will recheck before proceeding.

Do the softtails have 3 drain holes? There is one right between the shocks on the bottom, and one on the primary side(left side), and then you are saying the other is on the right side back by the swing arm.
