Default Battery Tender

I'm very grateful to have received a battery tender from Santa. What a great biker dude he is!
So as I hook it up I'm wondering where is the best negative connection to make. I think I connected to the frame ok, but just wondering.. does anyone have a quick pic they can show me to be sure I've connected to the right place.

much appreciated, and Merry Christmas everybody!!!

mine is connected right to the battery pos and the battery neg and then you can either hide behind the batter cover or if you can bring it out the side let it dangle so you can get to it anytime you want.

Connect negative lead to neg ative battery terminal. Is there a reason that you don't want to do that?

the instructions say...attach the pos clip to the pos terminal and the neg to the frame. I'd like to clip the neg to the neg battery terminal but not sure why they say to connect to frame. Much like jump starting a vehicle battery. May choices as to where on the frame to attach. Oh..decisions, decisions!

Probably just like a car battery when jump starting from another vehicle. Supposed to connect negative to something other than negative terminal battery that's being boosted. A spark when connecting the negative cable can cause battery to explode in your face. Probably good advice from the tender company. Just find a good bit of metal/bolt that's in reach of the alligator clip. You actually could also hook up leads your battery with an SAE connector on the end and then just plug it in each time without connecting directly to the battery. Here's a picture of the connector. You would then just have to cut off the alligator clips off your tender and wire this in.

On my 2005 Fat Boy, the ground, going to the frame, is just forward of the battery, connect it there.
I hooked mine up about 6 months ago,
I ran the connection down just below and inboard of the oil tank. It is far enough away from the oil tank that it doesn't get too hot.
