I dropped mine as far as it would go since I ride alone most of the time and I'm relatively light (150#). The ride is a little stiffer, but after a hundred miles or so, I didn't even notice it. it's not bone jarring by any means - but everything you change on the bike's suspension will be a compromise of sorts. I would definately do it again.

I have the Arlen Ness lowering kit on mine. It's pretty stiff when you have it all of the way down. I havent had to do anything with the front.

What about the H-D lowering kit?The dampening shocks they use work great and lowers it below an inch.

at the shop i used to work at the techs used them a couple of time the only down fall i believe is you cant go to far down with ness you can go till you hit the stop. You can look up just about everything at CustomChrome.com and at dragspecialties there the to most common used books in the north east. Has anyone ever used lowered there front forks? I just got the ness dampeners for the front lowering but i havent seen any pitures yet and i am 6000 miles away and cant put them on anytime soon

I am running the ness kit. Ness kit will get you down as far as possable until you hit the stop. I am down 1 3/4 and ride some two up but not alot. Quick bumps will bottom on two up but single still a pretty nice ride. HD kit will only let you get about 3/4 to 1 inch lower from what I hear.

It is a Ness velocity stack big sucker breather wimmer filter with a forcewinder filter cover. Just ordered a 2 into 1 wrath stainless creations pipe. Should look pretty cool.
