The inserts for the front and back part of the bags as well as the inside of the top of the bags are cut to fit perfectly. No trimming needed. Only trimming needed was the piece that runs along the inside bottom from the front edge to the back edge of the bags. But, with a box cutter blade, you can "score" it and bend the piece that you want to break off. Instructions suggest that the edges be sanded on the cut piece. I have a Dremel with a small sanding wheel that did the trick. All these steps can be done with the bags still on the bike. Installing/glueing the lid inserts required the bags off so you can lay the bags down with the lid open and place some weight on the inserts once you glue them. Supposed to allow 24 hours to dry....I let it dry for about 13 hours and they are on there for good.

Hi Brian they look good how did they fit and was it a easy procesds I hate it when you have toi make things fit when they sould come already fitted

Sheldon
I put on the "Got Saggy Bags" last fall, and they work just like they say they do. Bags look great, no sags. I thought it was a good value. The instructions were not the best in the world, but it went together.
I made my own with cutting out the lid shape with aluminum sign sheeting.........covered it with black leather........hot glue...........attached it with actual buffalo nickels, dome shaped with threaded studs I bought from my local leather guru.....................six to each top............looks custom and great............no sag.
Can you post a picture of the inside and outside?
thanks
paul

I have 20 sets of brackets that require no tools to install and fix this saggy bag issues! Head to e-b-a-y and search for saggy bag brackets, you'll see them!
Did the saggybag inserts on my wife's Heritage last year and they look like new. In fact they look better than when she brought the bike, all the edges we not straight and falling inward. Best investment for any Heritage owner.
