Did just the tank (not a fan of the logo) - flat black minus the logo. $200. I pulled the tank and droped it off on a monday and picked it up during lunch thr. Hardest part was gettin all the gas out. Should have rode it dry. Live and learn.

I didn't like the logo either so opted for the two tone blue paint scheme offered in 07.

Got an 09 FB too ... hate the logo. Think I'd fit right in at a Carolina Panthers game with the bike cause they modeled it after their logo (well, it sure looks that way http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/p...olina-panthers). Next big ticket item on the "todo" list. My gut feel is most current FB owners don't really like it, you'd think Harley would wise up ... go figure.

I couldnt stand the blue stripes on the black, blue on the white... etc. Really pushed me towards the custom color that was available at the time. I wasnt really into the root beer color until i saw it in the sunlight... then WHOA! love the logo too.

What did that cost you?

Like was mentioned earlier, with the new paints, base coat/ clear coat with and a decent hvlp gun and a little practice anybody can paint like a pro. no mess and fantastic results, not at all like the old enamel days

Getting custom paint will really make your bike YOURS and not like anything else at the next poker run. Harley also sells "custom" painted parts, but then you become 1 in a 1,000 instead of 1 of 1 and totally unique. My paint cost about $1,400.

Harley really dicked up the 07 later Fatty paint and logo. But as others have stated, I would not let that hold you back. Paint is easy to change. You can send those tins to Harley and have it painted for a reasonable cost. Check with your dealer...
