Those risers look just like the ones Harley has in their catalog
I do not have a catalog but they where purchased from HD.
The riser were on the bike when I bought it, the previous owner had mentioned that it was a straight forward install, so no cable or wiring issues.

I must say that those risers in the his pictures look like they are more than just 4" risers
they are 4".

Yes it was the dealership. One parts department and one from service. I even walk around with them in the show room and I showed them bikes with short risers and asked it they were sure. They told me no doubt about it.

Now I have own 5 bikes in my days and God knows how many cars and trucks. I have a well stocked garage with tools and lifts, etc. and do 90% of all my own matanance and repair work. I kept staring at the bike(s) and felt that it could be done. 6 inch may be close, but the 4 inch should be no problem.

I kept feeling a little back strain after a couple of hours of riding and felt that moving the bars up and back just slightly would make all of the difference in the world. Then I install a detachable windshield and now have no trouble. Must have been leaning into the wind too much. Anyway I think I will still enjoy using the risers and will go ahead with the install. Still like to ride without the windshield around town.

Thanks for everyone's input and help.

I know where you are going here and I already have a seat that I ride solo and I put the original on when my wife wants to ride with me. I am thinking about moving the floorboards out. Heard that makes the sitting position more comfortable.

I had a Triumph years ago that I semi chopped that I install "ape hangers" on. Maybe a 12 or 14 inch rise and I enjoyed it. Did if for looks but I found that I did like it. This time I am doing if for looks again only I now prefer the looks of the bars being down and not up in the air. I know a lot of members here like putting hangers on Fatboys and that is fine. Just not the look I am going for this time around.
