Default Heartland kit or not? POLL

So I picked up these struts for this kit and am contemplating on whether or not I should put them on. I will need to get a fender and get it painted and if I want to put a 180 or 200 tire on a new wheel as well. I am trying to do this on a budget (yeah right) but have already figured out I will need to spend at least another $400 or so to get all I need. Leave the heritage as it is or add the kit? Yes, if I decide not to to do the kit I will sell the struts which are powder coated black. Also got a black front end and oil tank and some other goodies.

The guys with a Kit will say yes and those that try and save money and create other alternatives will say no. Therefore my vote is YES. Made a huge improvement over my stock look, let alone the comfort.

i'm in a similar position. i've got the struts for the Heartland set up, along with their seat. all i need is the fender.

you already have the most expensive part of the kit (the struts) stick with it, you'll be glad you did in the end. especially since you have all those other parts.

I like the heritage the way it comes from the factory. I really only like the wide tire kits (any size) on the rocker and the deuce. And thats just because I'm not real crazy about how they come.

I haven't seen a bad looking Heartland kit on a bike yet.

You could always source the bits elsewhere and do the install yourself.
I wanted the Heartland kit but couldn't get it in the UK.

I went through the interweb and found the parts myself. All that was needed was the fender resprayed and the pearl silver logo airbrushed.

Saved considerably on the Heartland stuff.

Cheers

P Daddy
