This post might qualify for the dumbest question of the day but here goes, when you change out your risers on a softail deluxe, do they have to be the same width? I found some 6.5 pullbacks at JP cycles but they are not the same width as the oem ones. I thought by changing out the risers it would be cheaper than buying new bars...I need a couple of more inches for a better reach. thanks.
if they arent the same width then the arent going to match up with the nurling on the bars.that being said they must bolt up to the same holes in the upper tree so how can they not be the same width?
How much pb do these risers give you. You already have 2" with the Deluxe ones and to get much more you're either going to be hitting the console or the risers would have to be 10" high.
Thanks, that's what I thought. Maybe I'll go with the new bars...
If you only want a couple inches more pb I think the wild1/chubby 504s will go on w/o any changes in cables. Not sure though.
When the weather gets above freezing I may get around to putting new bars on my wife's Deluxe. She needed more pb than the 504s give so we're going with the 518s which should give her about 4". Going to be a big job so I'll probably put it off till the wife's nagging gets to me
