First thing is to change these quite stock pipes for something with a little bit more noise. Put have to keep in mind that CA is changing everything and really getting hard on loud pipes and after market.
I have it on good authority (my wife) that it's not lower than the Deluxe, just feels lower because of the seat design.

Sweet ride! As you paid $$$$ for that 110 SE motor, imo, stay performance focused and get a 2n1 pipe. They also happen to be quieter than 2n2's.

Take your time with your exhaust selction, you'll see and hear something that you will have to own. Also, V&H makes a Q series exhaust. Q=quiet

BTW one fine looking scooter.

Not that it makes that much difference but looking at both owner manuals, my Softail Deluxe (FLSTN) road clearance is 4.8" and Softail Convertible ( FLSTSE) is 3.7" No doubt the seat sit lower on the CVO but my legs don't lie. When I sit on the deluxe with kick stand down, my right foot is approx. 2" from the ground and with the CVO, my right foot is flat on the ground.

I know that for you long legged people, it don't make much difference but with us short legged people it does. You would think 1.1' wouldn't make that much diffference, now we are taking bikes correct. ROTFLMAO

Yes, the tourpak for Softail convertible fits very well. However, when you install the tourpak rack, it attaches in the same place as the sissy bar. To put the saddlebags on, you need to install the quick-detachable kit (about $30) to get the saddlebags out another 3/8" so they clear the outer edge of the tourpak frame. That really isn't mentioned in the sales pitch. To get set-up for touring, you have to install that detachable kit (even tho it comes with a detachable kit, you have to buy the extra kit). So, there will be just a little more schtuff to detach to get the bike ready to go downtown and cruise the strip like in the advertisement. But it's still pretty cool. And don't forget to install footboards for your passenger. this bike has a lot of potential (to spend more money but to really enjoy also!) Needing a little work in the windshield and the saddlebag guard department but all in all, a great bike!

I was gonna say, I have V&H BSS and they sure aren't quiet. Maybe if you actually put the quiet baffles in.

That's interesting. The specs show the GC as 1.1" lower than the Deluxe but the seat height difference is only .1 less.

Seat must be thicker and less narrow up front. The latter probably accounts for the obvious difference in
the way the two bikes feel when sitting on them.

The lower GC makes me wonder though if it rides any rougher than the Deluxe. Notice any difference in how it takes the bumps?

It rides as well if not better than the deluxe but maybe due to the larger tires.
