I have a 2004 heritage softail classic, it has 2500 miles on it, garage kept never been in the rain, only been wet when washed (never when motor was hot) today I noticed a one inch wide ring of rust forming exactly where the top clamp is on the front exhaust cover has anybody else had this problem ? at first it looked like tape had stuck to it when it was hot . what to do I need help?

Seriously, it may be from not riding it enough.
I have an 03 Heritage with 30,000 miles on it and more mud and rain than you can shake a stick at with no signs of something like what you describe.
For rust try NeverDull.

Agreed --- NeverDull - I use it on my 1991 FLSTC - keeps the chome up nice..
Great product - even got some bad rust off my windshield which has been in the rafters for 10+ years.
