I use a hair dryer and some fishing line. You may also need a little Goo Gone to get the adhesive totally off.
Back when HD was putting them all on the front downtubes, I'd just use a hammer.

Thumbs up

+1 on the fishing line, grab firm with both hands. And use back and forth motion like a saw, then use some solvent to take leftover adhesive off . NO ISSUES. For plate much easier to get back wheel off the ground so wheel can drop, giving you more room to work!

+1 more on the hairdryer and fishing line. When pulling the line through, keep it as close to the fender as possible, but I would only do one swipe as you can muck up your paint by doing multiple strokes. Use goo-gone until all residue is gone (might take a couple of times soaking and scrubbing with soft cotton cloth. It'll come out like they were never there and your paint unharmed.

+1 on the fishing line. dental floss works well too. +1 on lifting the bike for easier access to the rear plate. remove the seat and the black cover behind the battery. you can reach right back to the plate without laying on the floor. steve

Your bike is brand new so they will come off easy. They will probably just pull right off. I did mine when it was brand new and I pulled them right off and they barely left any adhesive.
