One thing about it, if you do rattle can on the chrome and don't like it, you can always go back with lacquer thinner and wipe it off and still have your chrome.

Since the covers are going to be gloss black, I'd go gloss on the tins as well.

I made the engine and exhaust flat black and everything around it gloss black.
Similar on my SG. The only thing I may go back and change is the horn cover to the flat black.

Take the horn off. Who uses it anyway?

Black is a PITA to keep swirl marks out I would go with flat black. I have a all blacked out F250 and I would love to get it done in the black denim paint!

I used satin black on my tins, not flat not gloss. Everything else, except for the engine/primary, is gloss black. IMHO they work together.

I hate to throw a wrench in the works, but this flat paint finish is a fad. In a few years there is going to be a bunch of flat bikes for sell or a whole lot people keeping painters happy repainting these bike. Just look at the rod world, how many dated and not cool multi-color, graphic puddles do you see now. Classic paint lasts forever and fads come and go, this is a fad.
