Default Advice Welcome

OK, I did a search on a 107 build and I pretty much know where I'll purchase the build. The build will be on a '07 Heritage Softail. Now I will have to decide whether to tackle this project or find a local wrench. Anyone know of any "how to" books, videos, etc? Also anyone have any suggestions on upgrading the clutch, TB, etc. I'm not a mechanic but I do have some mechanical abilities. I just don't won't to tear the engine down and then run into something I can't handle.

If you're mechanically inclined, it's pretty straight-forward. Get a service manual. One of the biggest challenges is having the right tools to do some of the work. As far as the clutch goes, I'd go with the AIM VPC. Stock throttle body will do just fine. You mentioned that you already know who's kit you're going with.....So, who's kit is it?

I would echo whats said above, there isnt anything super tricky about the task but having the right tools for the job will be the difficult part...and also mean the difference between a clean and straightforward outcome or a lot of cussing and make - do...

I am curious too, which kit got the nod?

I'll second what Beau said.. I went to GMR for my head work and Steve was super to deal with and definitely knows what he's talking about..
