Just had one put on our 96 wide glide for my wife. She was finding the clutch too hard to hold at stop lights etc. She reports it's a real big difference and is now no problem. Cheap too. $30 + install or something like that?
PS they routed the cables a little better and lubed them too...
I've had a Burly kit on my bike for about two years with zero problems. At first, it didn't feel as light as the '06-up H-D's did. However, after a few months of use, it got lighter and now feels pretty close (maybe even lighter) to the newer H-D clutches.
I must say, I put one on my wife's Nightster and it didn't make much if any difference. Lubing the cable helped a bit - more than the ez clutch, actually. Fortunately, as others have noted, it's a $34 part, and easily installed, so not much ventured, not much gained. YMMV.
Get her a Jockey kit so she can push that stiff **** clutch down wit' her foot?
Ha!
Buy the burly or something along those lines. They are $12.95 on E-Bay. Combine it with a HE or high efficiency teflon lined cable routed nicely. No need to lube the HE cable for a long time.
I had that setup on my Train with heavy SE clutch spring....Made riding around town veddy nice.
