96ci "B" Balanced Engine?
Northside knows what he is talking about. You can take that to the bank! The Dyna does not have the "B" motor and should be smoother at cruising speed than the "B".
I have a 96B and it is a vibrating POS at higher RPM. I almost traded it off with only 5K miles on it. I did change the grips out to the soft, sponge rubber, cruiser style grips. That helped quite a bit.
I also changed the angle of the bars and it helped me relax a little. I am not not holding the grips near as tight as before. It moved the grips back further and it helped.
I also put a throttle boss on the right grip so that I don't have to hold the grip tight in order to accelerate or cruise down the road. Even with the throttle boss I get a cramp in the right hand once in awhile.

Glad mine's not a vibrating piece of ****... (which would soon turn to tiny little pieces of ****
)
sounds like some quality bushings for the risers and a vibration dampening system for his bars will take care of his troubles.
i think mud installed "vibranators" in his bars...check for his post in the dyna section.

Three yrs and almost 25k and I don't notice any vibrating at higher rpm's.. don't ride over 75 and usually 50-65mph, don't even notice a buzz that some others say... maybe the bars on the heritage, I don't know.
go 85 to 90 you will feel it.
GRIPS!
Replaced the skinny grips that came on my Heritage to some aftermarket larger diameter HD grips & the problem was gone! $75 for new grips is a heck of alot cheaper than an engine or trading in your bike.....
I don't have any vibration problems with my Heritage, but I'm having difficulty imagining vibration problems that are that bad that would be that much improved by grips, but glad yer squared away. I have the HD Stealth grips that will be going on the bike in the spring, but I guess now it will be outrageously smooth, vs just fine.
