Default Kuryakyn LED fuel gauge kit

The Kuryakyn LED flush mount gauge kit states it will fit all HD models except 2008 Softail. Has anyone tried to install their gauge kit on a 2008 Softail? If so, what didn't work? I like the looks of their gauge kit and would like to use it on my '08 FXSTC, but I have not been able to get anyone from Kuryakyn to reply or explain why it isn't recommended for my year model bike. Any input from you fellow riders would be greatly appreciated... I have concerns about using the HD flush mount kit as many others report that the LEDs quit working after a very short time from install. Thanks, and remember, Ride Safe...

I had the dealer install mine so they are covered under the warranty for two years....plus I think the second generation gauges are better....

Thanks Willie D. How long ago did you have them installed? Do you remember the part # for these second generation LED kits? I appreciate you reply. Ride Safe...
