Default taillight replacement

does anyone know of a "cool" replacement for the traditional "Lunchbox" style taillight on most Harley's? I have a 99 softail, and that big squared tail-light just throws things off. I would eventually like a smoothed out fender, but until then... I'd like a more attractive alternative. Any ideas and/or products out there in use?

yes i made my own for under $12. used front turn lamp, clear insert for the tag light, polly rope cover for the wires, peanut can foil to cover the bolt.
be creative. or you can buy aftermarket for a few hundred dollars.

Check out the CycleVisions Eliminator plate. It replaces the signals and the taillight. They make it for softails too.

Will this fit a 2010 Heritage?

RWD makes a really nice replacement light for bobbed fenders.

The RWD piece is nice as well. I prefer the way the Cycle Visions plate has everything integrated. It also looks sleeker to me, but that is probably just me.

I can match that price if anyone is interested. I have been reading about the RWD model in the touring section and the lights are supposedly brighter and pulse when you hit the brakes. The signals are integrated into the taillight so there is only one light.
