these kits are far and few between here in Oz but I did recently see the RSD kit in person and I have to say, really cheapened an otherwise real nice lookin fatty. the heartland is just a much higher quality item,

The kit I saw was chrome on a black bike, and just looked thin and just not as substantial as the heartland ones... it may work better on other bikes??? but just didnt do it for me on the chunky fat lines of a fatboy..

...so Mike whatcha gunna do????

There is a third option also available. One could go with a RWD strutless rear fender (struts inside fender) http://www.russwernimont.com/store/i...9e421bd6249ac9. Bitchin Seats offers to make a two-up seat for this set-up, but I think the end result would cost as much as the Heartland set-up. Personnaly I think its time someone commes up with something to give Heartland some competition.

Heartland is the best option. I am yet to see the RSD kit in person. Maybe next week when I go down to PM i"ll get a chance to see what it looks like. Really, you need an air ride in conjunction with the kit to really make it slammin'.

After I read the thread earlier tonight, I checked out RWD's website and that is the route I am taking. I will make due for the summer and make this my first mod for the fall.

REAR STRUTLESS ROCKER FENDER SHORT WITH SPLASHGUARD $962

http://www.russwernimont.com/store/p...roducts_id=367

I like it. With the Heartland kit just too much for me to drop with two young boys that have college funds that need filling, this mod is within reason for me.
