I would take it elsewhere. It's a known fact that Softail's have a float problem. It's a quick and easy repair for a decent HD tech. I would call HD cust service as well...

Get it fixed. Mine doesn't read falsely. Harley Davidson is quickly forgeting who the customer is in my opinion. They are definitely on a high horse. There are other great brands out there that last longer and perform better.

What goes around, comes around. I've also noticed that Harley dealerships don't have competent mechanics in general. My loyalty has to be earned and Harley has just barely done it so far.
