So I recently did a heartland 180 kit (as well as a bunch of other mods) and at first really didnt like the heartland seat. For one, I really didnt like the vinyl finish, and I didnt think I liked the shape of the seat. I had a local guy do a seat for me, and I think he did an incredible job, but now I can't decide if I really like it better? I'm wondering if I should refinish the heartland seat in leather and run that? The custom seat is much more comfy, but i've got a hard ***, so whatever. What do you think?
FINALLY, I have been waiting to see some good shots of your bike. I like the rear section of the custom seat but not digging the front extension of it. So maybe the Heartland in leather.

Thanks for the input. The heartland is shorter, which I think looks nice, but the custom seat does fill the gap at the end of the tank which is kinda nice. I wish I took a picture of the seat pan before it was covered. Was a work of art. The guy conformed the thing to all sorts of different angles and bends in order to cover the ECM, wiring, and crap under the seat.
I also think that once I paint the tank flat black, it may really help the way the seat(s) flow with the tank.
The other thing that's cool about the custom seat is that the brass rivets on the sides of the seat, and on the top front of the seat, are actually .45ACP brass casings.

FINALLY is right, lol, I took my first ride around the block tonight. Was the first time I was able to ride the bike since I tore it apart in September! Riding a jockey shift for the first time was just as fun as learning to drive a stick shift car as a kid.
I agree with Mike. The Heartland looks like it sits lower and has a higher back.
yeah, it does. However, the custom seat is definitely more comfortable, but again, I gotta hard ***, so i'm willing to sacrifice some comfort for a good look.
