Default Wheel Fitment Question

I am looking at the MoCo accessories book and WAY confused right now. Here is what I have: 04 Softail Standard with 07-newer FX chrome front kit, 08 FXSTC smoothie 21" wheel, HD floating rotor, stock 04 front caliper, 25mm front axle.

So here is my observation from the accessories book:
21" wheels fit 00-later FXST, FXSTD, FXSTB, etc
18" wheels fit 08-later FLSTF, FLSTFB and FLSTSB
17" wheels fit 08-later FLSTF and FLSTFB OR only 07 FLSTF
16" wheels fit 00-later FLST, FLSTC, FLSTN, and 00-06 FLSTF

Page 677 the Road winder wheel is a perfect example of this since it is available in all sizes for all models.

My question is, can I run an 18" wheel that is designed for an 08 FLSTF (disregard fender fitment, I'll take care of that)? I tried checking the slider part numbers to see if an 07 FLSTF has the same sliders as an 08 FLSTF, but it appears that they dont even make chrome sliders for an 07 FLSTF?

Here are the available chrome slider kits from page 263 of the accessories book:
46482-07b $299.95
Fits ’07-later FLSTC, FLSTN and ’08-later FLSTF and FLSTFB models.
46482-00 $299.95
Fits ’00-’06 FLST, FLSTC, FLSTF, and FLSTN models.
45310-98 $329.95
Fits ’86-’99 FLSTC, FLSTF and FLSTN models.

Here is the logic that I have made out of all this overwhelming information: I know that a 16" 00-06 Fatboy will fit on an 00-06 FXST front end. The only difference in the 00-06 and 07-newer FXST front ends is the axle diameter. If a 16 wheel fits an 00-later FLSTC and FLSTN and an 07-later FLSTC & FLSTN use the same sliders as an 08-newer FLSTF, that means if the 18" wheel fits on the 08-newer FLSTF, then it must fit on an 07-later FLSTC & FLSTN since they have the same forks. And the only difference between the 00-06 and 07-newer forks is the axle diameter, then the wheel should fit, right? (wow, that is complicated) Does anyone follow me on that one? Or can simply just answer will it work?

So I was probably a little too long winded in my original post since no one responded, but oh well.

I bought the wheel anyway! I got an 18" stinger (I think thats what they call it) wheel. It is the identical wheel as what comes on the CVO Softail Convertible. Hopefully it fits under the Fatboy fender and in the forks of my FXST!! (I know, I will have to modify the fender height)

It will fit under a fatboy fender. Let us know how the rest turns out.
