So the stock wheel is a 21x 2.15 on the front of the Blackline... Does anyone know if a 21x3.5 wheel will go??? it would be as wide as as the rear...and I think that it could turn out really well...any input??
Klockwerks carry several different front fenders for softails, they certainly have fenders that fit a 3.5 wheel with no problems, I'm running their FL front fender for softail, I have a 120 metz on a 3.5 wheel, I could easily fit a 140 tire without problems. Check their site, lots of different styles.
I was at the dealer today and snapped a few pics of how much space there is between the fender and the tire. There is quite a bit of room. I am still not sure if it will fit directly with no mods and the people at the dealer had no clue, but here are the pics.
Another option in case the tire is to tall for the fender is to move it higher if that is possible on the current mounting bracket. Not sure if it is possible but i would imagine that it is if you dremel out the mounting holes a bit. I think it would look really slick with the fender hugging the fatter wheel and tire.
I put a 16x3.5 with a 150 Metz on the front of my '05 train this past spring. Fits just fine, fills out those wide forks nicely! I did have to make myself a fender though.
