I have the AN Big Sucker on my softail and it flows great. It sits over a stock CV carb and the bike makes 82 HP on an 88 CI S&S Super Stock. I'm running the Stage 1 on my Street Bob and I think it flows pretty well also, but I'm only making 78.4 HP. Tough choice, I like them both.
Just a tip! One of the sponsers of this site has the SEAC for a nice discount. At Harley its $139 at Eastern Perf its $119.
The SE air filter can be cleaned but you can go to one of the auto parts stores and buy a KN filter, part number 0800, for $33 and be set for life.
Harley will sell you the KN filter too, for $50 as will KN on their website.
By the way most of Eastern's stuff is free shipping. Probably depends on the amout you are spending too.
They have the best price on the V&H pipes and Fuelpak also.
I am using the K&N rk-3909 kit. Got it for $122 from Cyclespot.com. It uses an oval K&N oiled filter that fits with plenty of clearance under the Oval cover. A high quality item and looks great on the bike. The riser bolts are polished so you don't see any crappy dull metal or bolts. Not sure how the performance compares to the SE since I'm having some problems with the Fuelpak right now.
