Question Heritage Classic Compatibility

Can anybody tell me if a 1992 Heritage Evolution Softail tank will bolt up to a 1997 Heritage Evolution Softail. I think they are the same up to this point but need to make sure before I buy the 92 tank. Also how complicated is it to switch tanks. Do I need a kit?

Thanks

I am pretty sure 1987-99 all used the same, but of coruse, best to double check with an expert. We changed the tank on my husband's Victory, and it was not complicated, just takes some patience and it was a PITA getting some of the rubber gaskets/seals seated. I believe they do make a kit (check JP cycles) that has the gaskets and hose, etc. Victory sold all the parts separate You can re-use the bolts you have, but you want to make sure you use new gaskets.

1984-1999 should be the same. Double check before buying or post what you are looking at here so we can verify.
