Hello all. I have just purchased my first Harley (1992 Fatboy) and am looking to do some slight modifications to it (mostly bolt-on mods to change appearance). Are there any dimension changes to the bike from the 1992 model to the current ones. I can't find much information out there, but there seems to be little change over the years. Just wondering because it seems that many aftermarket/replacement parts on most websites cover a wide range of years, but not many of them include a bike as old as a '92. Will most late model bolt-on parts fit a '92? Any advice or help is appreciated.
Be careful of the model guides at that site. I just checked out the info at that site for my 2008 fxstc anniversary model....for starters it showed the wrong bike! I won't even get into the typos and other misinformation that I found.
Does Harley keep their own database on the web? I know I've gone to harleydavidson.com and have pulled up info on bikes that were a couple years old....never tried it for a bike much older than that though.
some changes have been made regarding the mods u have planned, others have stayed essentially the same. I have a 1995 Fatboy so take my word for it. There are still many accesories for our years, you just have to look for the fitting specs including the year of ur bike. there's a wide variety of accesories in www.bkrider.com of which lots fitour bike.
Some stuff as lighting, license plate frames, grips and the general stuff are universal fit
