The dealer is in business to make money, so he will always low-ball you on a trade in. Most people out there in the world have no idea that HD made changes to the '07 bikes. All they know is that Harleys are good bikes. Next time you are at a biker event, ask a few guys if they heard about the changes on the '07s... you will be surprised at the responses... even bikers have no idea..... Sell your bike locally or use Ebay. Then go buy your new '07.

The extras don't mean anything for trade value, it's funny cause lots of folks try to sell their bike for more because of that, but the motoco dosn't care. it's all part of ownin a harley.

I guess I'm a fool, but I love the new 07 FXST. I've traded my 04FXST in (24480 Miles) and stripped it down like a prom date (I had approx $2900 extras). The parts I took off will fit my new bike nicely. Had the chrome engine kit put on along w/chrome sprocket cover and heated grips (I ride all year). Had to leave my PCIII , V/H big shots and k/n air on though (sucks). I told them to leave the engine alone till someone comes out with a decent way to tweek it with those o2 sensors. I don't want to be too much of a giuneypig.
