Gents,
Just bought a '98 Heritage. It's black with 44K miles but in great shape. First mods include V&H big shots (currently has slip-ons with stage 1), bare-bones seat, & sporster bars. Yep, I'm 6'4" and stock ergos are a bit cramped. I'm not seeing a lot of posts from guys with Evo's. They either don't exist or they don't have issues. My question is, with a bike this age, with this many miles what would you guys do to it if you were me? Repack wheel brgs, grease stearing head, send out suspension for tear down-clean-oil change, flush brake fluid, etc? Also, has anyone de-carbon their engine with Sea-Foam?

Tucker99, I`d do the wheel bearings if there not sealed , the steering head and brake fluid, what the heck is sea foam ? Thats my .02 for you ! Steve from Az.
44K is really low mileage for a '98. I wouldn't think you need to do any drastic overhaul. A complete check up and service, but I would do that with any used bike.
You should love the scooot........got a '97 in January and started riding as soon as the weather got better. Spend the time (and $$) getting to know your local Harley Dealer, esp/ the service mgr. Unless you are a do-it-yourselfer, have them give it the once over!
i have a 95 heritage with over 64,000 on the clock no probs what so ever i service it on my own every 3,000 needed or not i ride the **** out of it never been torn down!!!!!!!!!!!!!
