Default BARS ON NIGHT TRAIN

I know this is not the first time this is asked but i have a 06 nite train and im 5'6", so not a far reach here. When im on the bike i really hunched foward so the first hour of riding is ok but after that, the ol back starts acking. The look i really want is something similar to the current drag bars that extends out a few more inches and pulls back to where its comfortable but still holds a good drag style(chopper) look to it. any ideas? and what is approximate cost of the bars installed that im looking for? Thanks for any help

You will want a T-bar setup. I would go wit 1 1/4 bar with a 6 to 8 inch riser like the ones in the link below. If you have the dealer install them it will cost you around $350. I installed by bars in about 6 hour by my self in the garage and had never done it before.

T-Bar

With not being factory bar, im afraid of being overcharged at the dealer for install. Do those t-bars require additional parts, like new clutch cable and brake lines? Being 5'6", what height and pull back should i use?

I would go with the 6" rise 6" pullback. You do not need any additional hardware. The existing cable should reach just fine with the 6" rise, after all you are not going taller but just swinging them back towards you more.

You may also want to look at Wild1 Chubby Bar (see http://www.wild1inc.com/index.html). I bought the 8" drag bars (WO 501) for my FatBoy. I didn't like changing the classic FatBoy look but I needed to increase rise by about 2" and pullback by about 1". The 501s should do that according to their reps. They told me I could exchange them if I didn't like them. Haven't installed them yet but many on the forum like Wild1 bars. I ordered direct from them. Check out their site. You can see pics of their bars mounted to Harley models and get an idea of what you want. There are pics from Harley owners too.

Drag bars look great on Trains...
