where did you get the backrest what brand is it thats a great idea just want to make sure if i order one it will work
I'm pretty sure those are factory Harley parts, sissy bar upright part #52804-08, backrest #51782-07. It's not meant to go on that passenger seat, but can be installed with some drilling. Of course, with the backrest attached, it will no longer store under the driver's seat.
I eventually decided against adding more stress to the factory passenger seat by adding a backrest, and went with the entire FXCW "touring" setup instead, which is strong he11!
This thread has more on that setup, as well as some other possible options: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...-c-seat-2.html

Hello,
I love what you did, and it is exactly what I'm looking to do. I've been looking all over to find a sissy bar backrest that you have. I haven't had any luck. What you did is exactly what I was wanting to do and I actually like it better than what else I've seen. If it isn't too much trouble, could you point me to where you got it. I haven't been on this forum for years. My e-mail address is: wade.parker@sbcglobal.net or you can text me @ 7854106507
It would save me a whole lot of time and effort
Thank you,
Wade
