Most SOLID riser bushings needed!!
I'm looking for the "hardest", most solid riser bushings I can find. I just installed some "extreme" bushings from Carlini and they are no more stiff than the old stockers I took out. Kind of disappointing actually. With 14" apes, I can get over 6" of travel! I know there's added leverage with apes, but over 6"??!!
I'm tempted to have a set solid aluminum bushings spun up, unless I can find a MUCH better solution than what I have... Any ideas as to where to look?

I just added some poly bushings from outlaw cycles on ebay for like $10. They seem pretty stiff, way stiffer than stock. However, I'm not sure how hard you are torquing on those bars to get 6" of travel. That's a lot. I"ve heard Goodntite bushings are great. Do a google search for them and see what you think.

Thanks WARG!!
Something is definitely wrong there. I have never had anywhere near that with the poly bushings I have. Maybe a case of them sending the wrong bushings. Do you a have the packaging? I can call and find out what the deal is tomorrow.
I checked out the Good n' Tite bushings that WARG mentioned... What do you think of those?
Good and Tite are well...Good and tite. LOL. They are good stuff. I just have never had a problem with Carlini's bushings in the past. It is possible they sent the wrong ones. This would be the second case of this kind of problem today and would not surprise me in the least. Tell me what these look like so I can explain it to hem on the phone.

In the package were (4) black bushings, (4) snazzy chrome washers and (2) steel tubes (cores). Good idea about giving them a shout. Maybe some standard bushings got mixed up with the poly (extreme) kits. Let me know what they say.

Nothing real special other than the outstanding chrome finish on the washers. Seriously, these things were like mirrors!!
