I have been running Avon Venom's for several years and plan on using them for as long as I ride. They hold the pavement MUCH better than the OEM Dunlops and they wear almost as long. I'm getting 10-12K on the rear tires and the best I did with the Dunlops was 13K. Go for it if you think the price is right.

I get about 10 out of the Rear and 14 out of the front

I ran a few sets of Avons on my 91 FLSTC over the years and was pleased with them. Metzler Marathons also an excellent tire... liked them a bit more.

i ran avons,still have one on front,didnt replace one on rear only because they had just sold the last one of the size i was after shortly before hand!!felt better in corners then the one i have on now! a bridgestone,
avons are a brlliant tyre for cruisers and harleys and great in the wet!
quite a bit cheaper then the metzlers too!

Just got my Cobras delivered yesterday, sure look purdy. Made in England, hope testing can begin in about a month or so.
