quick question,do the new softtails have cats in the mufflers?i know the touring models do as the 10 fxdwg,was wonderin if the softtails do.thanx in advance

What year are you referring to?

 

I think 2010 soft tails have the EPA Compliant catalytic converters in the header pipes. I’ve seen reference to it somewhere, that changing mufflers did not improve sound. Call dealer and ask; I’m not sure what the added $200 California emissions is for?

I have a '10 and it's in the mufflers, not the headpipes. One more reason they are on the shelf and not on the bike.

 

All 2010 Harley bikes have cats, touring models have them in the headers, and all the rest have them in mufflers.
