nice bike!! trains are sweet!! you sure about those chaps?? lol
Chaps Ive never owned any but I think Im going to try; it was around 39 deg, my legs got a little cold. I plan on riding to work more this summer and I head out around 5:30, would like something I can take off easy and store possibly in a swing arm bag for the ride home.
Just like that first ride on the sporty I had a smile that wouldnt go away. This bike I had a smile and a strong feeling of satisfaction that I made the right decision. Im sure Ill find some areas that need change to improve, but I would say this is a very good base to start with.
Congrats on the new Train. I love mine. Instead of chaps try a pair of long underwear under your jeans (or over if you prefer) keeps you warm, easier to pack when you don't need them and you lose the village people look. Good Luck.

Village people look
If I pulled into work with long underwear over my jeans I would catch hell all day I’d prefer village people jokes. I was thinking about rain pants, sounds like a good reason to ride I’ll try that today.
Trains are nice. I love my Heritage tho. I use leather bibs (overalls) they are da **** on those early morning summer work rides. Then pack them away in my saddle bag on the trip home
Ok just got back from a 60 mile ride, tried a short highway ride and the rest out in the country. Plastic rain pants worked ok would work better with some insulation but definitely helped. Stopped to get some coffee and found a big negative for plastic pants THEY STICK TO THE EXHAUST.
That sucked got almost all of it off; but the good thing was I found a new road with a hidden covered bridge.
man get some insulated carhartt jeans. They have ones lined with flannel, fleace, and somethin else. I opted for the fleace. They're the perfect riding jeans, and they dont get tooo hot on warm days either.
