Hey all....Just wanted to introduce myself to the softail crowd. I traded my 03 Sporty in Friday for a black cherry 2006 Softail Deluxe. I am in the process of picking out some pipes. Any suggestions? I like the vance and hines and the sampson so far. Well I am sure I will have some issues sooner or later.
Welcome, got the same thing in an 05. I put on VH longshots, Big sucker air cleaner and a power commander lll and what a difference. Runs like a rocket.
Welcome from an '05 Deluxe owner from Delaware. Make sure and check out the many pages of pics on the Deluxe pictures site - will give you lots of good ideas for your pipes. I have V & H StraightShots and really like them.
Welcome from Northeast Florida! I just receive my pipes (V&H BSS) from Easternperformance.com, SERT and SE A/C from Zanotti. Trying to get schedule for installation, tuning and dyno. I can't wait .......
I just put on the V&H bigshot Staggered pipes, the SEAC and used the V&H Fuelpak to set it up. I did it all myself and saved the Harley charges. Runs like a top! Installation was time consuming but very easy. Pipes are $449 at Eastern Performance, Fuelpak $213 and the SEAC is $119. All from Eastern Performance a sponser of this forum. They ship for free also! Such at deal!
Dealer was $575 for the pipes, $460 for the SERT, and $139 for the SEAC, plus $200-350 for the install and Dyno time. I saved at least $600, that paid for my new seat and rear passenger footboards.
Good choice....Love the nostalgic look of the deluxe.....Like mentioned before look at all the pics and try and get to some sort of rally to hear what they sound like....Good luck and post some pics when you can......
