Default Compression releases

I want to put Compression Releases on my big bore 95ci, where should I start HD shop or other,or take the heads off my self ,and bring the heads to HD or other(meaning other cirtfide bike shop)
And has anyone seen the spark plug adapter Compression Releases? and heard if they are any good?
I need to put compression releases in to save my starter and gears, I have the big starter on the bike also!!

Thumbs up

Its to bad they didnt do it when they installed the 95 kit, my builder said it was a no brainer as part of my build especially since the heads are already off! If you can take your heads off, why not. If you cant, then take your bike or heads to a shop which you TRUST, and get the manual CR done! GOOD LUCK!!!

Just last night, I began the prep for the compression release install by running the wiring harness from the fuse holder and ECM under the seat, then up under the fuel tank. What a pain!! Just getting the bracket that holds the fuse holders into a position to work on it. Directions were a little unclear also. This is a job for someone with mini hands (like the guy in the Burger King commercial). Took about 2 hours for something that I thought would be a half hour. Isn't that the way it always is.

yzguy, Yeah. That's the guy. You know what they say about guys with small hands---------------------small gloves. I know that if you ever worked on a bike or car, at one point you wished you had hands like this guy.

I have heard nightmare stories of some of the spark plug compression releases.
