Default some major changes...whatcha think?

Ok, so everyone is pretty much done with their winter mods, but I am stuck in Iraq (only another month to go!!) So, since I have been buying tons of crap for my bike, I decided to do a photoshop rendering of how it will look when I put it together when I get home. This shows pretty much everything I have for it, with exception of the street glide hard bags and batwing fairing, which will both be quick disconnect anyway.

A couple things I didnt draw in were my custom rotors, pegs, chrome controls and signal relocation kits.

But, atleast I can try to show off!! What do ya'll think? (Sorry for the cheesy background, it was the first image I saw)

What does everyone think I should do with the oil tank? I dont want to spend the money on a chrome one right now. If you take notice above the red stripe is blue, below is black pearl. My oil tank is just normal old vivid black. For now I am thinking about leaving it black. I thought about painting it to match everything else just like I am doing the bags, but I want to keep the painted surfaces as simple as possible. I dont want too much detail. I am going for a street glide look, but really fell in love with that military paint set.

yes. my fairing setup is going to be the same as Jackyl's over on the dyna forum. Its a roadking detachable fairing with 4 windshield quick clamps bolted to the brackets. pretty straight forward, just requires the fabrication of 2 flat metal brackets (no welding or bending, just cutting them out). The fairing will be on/off in about 15 seconds.

The bags are going to be a simple disconnect, but not quite as easy as the fairing. I am going to duplicate the cycle visions brackets and convert their mount points to quick disconnects. It may take 10 minutes to remove, but will be pretty straight forward. I have a feeling that once I have it all together and the bags/fairing installed, neither one will come off too often.

Default Thanks for your service

An old USAF vet myself, and my son did a year as an Army 19D in OIF II...
I appreciate your sacrifice, even in the times when all you want to do is have it be over.
Good luck with the build, it looks great.

I think I finished up the touring version of the bike. I really hope the bike turns out looking just like my little picture did. This pic is exactly what I am looking for. The CVO convertible was kind of the idea I wanted, but a little more tour friendly. The only 3 things I will really need to add to have all the conveniences of a street glide are finish the radio (the fairing holds 2 6x9s and a head unit, but I cant spend that money right now), the Kuryakyn electromagnetic throttle lock (basically a cheap cruise control) and air ride.

I know as soon as those things are done, I will want to go 95" and a SE 6 speed though....
