Rocker rides excellent, I don't think the sitting position is that different from a Softail custom, HOWEVER if you get the R-C then you will find you slide of the seat if you accelerate hard, but that is easily solved through the heartland conversion.... Which improves the sitting position even more!
If I sold my Fatboy I would buy another Fatboy, but I always liked Fatboys. Sort of like thin blonds, a redhead is a fun ride, but still not the same.
Several years ago, I decided to park my camper on a resale lot because it was a tenth the cost of a storage lot. I was not going to sell it, I told my wife to ask 5K more than it was worth. About 2 hours later she sold it for the full asking price.
But, then it gave me enough money to buy a new boat. We just rent a trailer at the lake now.
Thanks for all the replies. I am test ridng a Rocker tomorrow. My local dealer has a used one that has the Heartland conversion. The General Manager is a former co-worker of mine and he is going to let me take it for the day and put some miles on it. I think spending a few hours on it will be the best thing for me to decide. If I go back to the Fatboy route, there are several 09 rollovers still in stock he has said he would give me a deal on. Either way, looks like my garage won't be empty for long!!
