Hello all,
Just got my 2010 Fatty and want to change out the stock exhaust so I can put passenger floorboards on for the wife. My question to you all is
1. Can you give me some ideas on 2 into 1 pipes and
2. When I change the pipes is there anything that has to be done to the engine? Meaning do I need a stage 1 kit or will the new pipes work with no problems on the engine and willnot void out the warranty? Already had 2 oil leaks in under 100 miles but fixed now.
I am mechanically inept and know pretty much nothing.
Welcome. I like the D&D fatcat 2 into 1 the best. If you change the pipes only no need for air filter or tuner, but if you add an air filter you will need a tuner. The dealer will try to sell you all of it at an inflated cost. Other nice 2 into 1's are the Rinehart, and Vance and Hines. Let me know if you need discounted pricing on these systems of if there are any other questions I can answer for you.
vance and hines are very nice i run the 2 into 2 but they have some great 2 into 1 and if you shop around and get it from other sites it's usually cheaper than straight from them
If you're not determined to have a 2-into-1, the Vance and Hines Big Radius 2-into-2 is a nice option for a Fatty. Add a Stage 1 and you will be good to go.
