Got rid of my reflectors today using the fishing line and WD-40 method. Easy enough. Unbelievably, however, sawing at the sticky foam backing with nylon line (lightweight, 4lb breaking-strain fly fishing leader) scratched the chrome on the front forks. Bollox. Heat, and a good twist and pull might have been a better bet. Good luck.

Call me dumb but I'm glad for the few times my flstn is parked outside at night and it has reflectors to help others from getting hit while parked.

I carefully layed a piece of wood against the forks/swingarm and used a common screwdriver to pry the reflectors up enough to pull them off my Rocker.

I just got done taking them of my new bike. One of them just came right of without any use of wd-40, but that was because the reflector was on the metal part of the front fork. The reflector in the rear was placed on the actual rear fender paint. I used goo gone and worked like a charm and just used Meguiars auto detail spray after to make sure no smudges were left.
