Default 2000 Heritage Classic question

I'm considering purchasing a '00 Softail Heritage Classic, but it's not efi. I can get a decent deal on the bike, but was wondering what anyone's thoughts are on this year model and it also not being fuel injected?? Is there any difference in ride quality vs a late model Heritage?? Just looking for some advice and direction! Thanks again.

2000 carbed bike, hell yeah! Ride quality? It depends on what has been done to the bike if anything and how many miles are on it. Don't let a carb scare you off.

I just bought a 2001 Softail Heritage and at first was the same way about it being carbed. This bike only had 8800 miles on it or so when I got it. It is carbed and has the big bore kit, screaming eagle 203 cams, K&N air filter kit, and a 42mm carb. I love the bike. It has vance and hines pipes and they roar. Bike rides and drives great. I got a good deal on this bike too but was scared of the carb at first. It cranks every time on the first try for me. I have no worries and really like the sound of my carbed bike way better than the sound coming from my two buddies EFI bikes. Those carbed bikes sound a lot different I think and I like it.. Good luck!

The bike is a 2000 all stock except Vance and Hine's longshots, 1,500 in chrome accessories, excellent condition, and only 4,000 miles, for 10k even, and the color is black. I think I may pick it up this weekend once I ride it and everything checks out ok!
