I went to change my oil for the first time and my manual says use part number 63798-99, but the dealership gave me 63798-99A. Is the "A" just a better filter??? I can't seem to find any cross reference on the internet. I see some listings on ebay for the 63798-99A, but the listings don't say anything abou thte 63798-99. I went to take off the previous owners oil filter with the HD oil filter wrench, and the wrench is to big. This is why I am questioning what I have. Any help would be appreciated.
When a part or accessory is updated Harley adds a letter (A,B,C,ect.) to show designation that the part has been change. Usually this is a very minor modification to the part. It let's us know at the dealership the part has been updated.
