The springer handles WAY better than I expected it to. The way everyone was talking before I bought it they made it sound like you hit a bump and it takes a quarter mile before it stops bouncing, then the next bump comes and keeps bouncing. It doesnt bounce at all. Nice and stiff ride and handles great even without the shock kit installed. Bought it from DNA.
The only thing I am not too happy with is the extension I did to the controls. 2" outward was a big improvement but 2" forward I am having a tough time getting used to. Luckily I didnt hack the mounts up too bad and if I cant get used to them I can always put them back to normal.
The gap in the rear fender is a little bigger than I expected to see but I am done for now with it.
I have a sportster I need to get to next and need to have it ready to sell by about July before summer is over.
Oh ya, and the pipes I wouldnt recommend unless you dont mind your right leg always being black. When you come to a stop my leg is right in front of it and it turns black like oily just from the exhaust. I dont mind it though. I ran without baffles for one night, then baffled it. It was obnoxiously loud and the small towns around here are tough on it sometimes. Baffles was the right decision there.
Ya , not sure when I will do that. Probably save that for next winter. Weather is finally getting nice here and I usually wont take it apart again til about November. It does look like a deep hole though.
