Rick, can you get a few pics up close?

Attaching a pic of my bike with the bubbas system on. You can hardly tell the brackets are even there with the bags and sissy bar off.

If you're seriously considering the bubbas system, I can take a closer picture of the struts and the brackets if you want to see them better.

I have Barebacks and love 'em .... I not tried the others but Barbacks use your stock bracket and in seconds can be removed with only a small "nub" sticking out. Ohh, the bags look totally stock while on.

I put Bubbas on mine tonight. Don't have anything to compare it to but recommended by a friend. Was easy to put on and it is a very clean look. Bubbas has my vote!

In regards to ghost brackets I had a run in with them and there customer service is the worst. The girl from ghost brackets used profanity on the phone and is a real piece of work. I asked to speak to a tech and when i did and hit him with a few questions about an install on a deluxe it was clear this clown had never done one and had no answers so he hung up on me great customer service swearing and hang ups got to love it There brackets require that you do drilling and line up work its easy to hang them cocked and they put the bags to far from the strut when you look from the back they are about 2 inches from the strut that's to much for me I want a clean look. I turned in a report to the better business bureau about there customer service which was in order for the way i was treated

As far as customer service and tech support with bubbasbrakes it was top notch.

I ordered the system on a Wed and the guy who answered the phone for answered all my questions with ease. They did not have one of the parts in the warehouse that I needed and I told the guy that I was hoping to get the system and install it for a ride on Saturday morning. He went to the manufacture himself and picked up the part I needed to finish the order, 2 day FedEx'd it to me and I had my quick detach system installed Friday evening. I even called thier business line and left a voicemail asking a question about the install and the owner called me back within 20 min on his cell while driving home. Answered my questions and I was rolling that Saturday morning with the brackets installed and looking good. The owner called me back the next Monday to make sure I was happy and that the brackets were installed to my satisfaction.

It looks awesome, but their higher than Giraffe P_ssy! $395.00, still can't figure out what you get for that.

Well Trent if you weren't such a Leprechan that wouldn't be such a hard target!

I said they were pricey. But from what I've seen from the other products and heard from others on this forum and around town, what you get is a damn fine quality product with excellent customer service and support and a perfect fit without you having to "modify" any part of the install.

You could go with the HD quick detatch system and get a crappy chrome finish that flakes and a big hunken plastic release tab (that'll look great with your shiny bike), or you can go with one of the other products and have to jerryrig the installation by drilling holes into your tins, and then get cussed out by the customer service rep and hung up on by an idiot product tech.

You get what you pay for.

What's your bike, Bob? I have an 05' standard and I struggled with this last winter as well. I usually ride solo and like the clean look of my bike as is, but occasionally have the O/L with me and needed a backrest and some bags. I wanted a clean looking set-up and most importantly something that went on / came off quickly and with no tools needed. I ended up getting the "Easy Brackets" system, and found a set of "Saddlemen" detacheable bags that I liked the look of. Installation was easy and the final product meets my needs. I would like the bags to hang closer to the struts, and thought it would be easy enough to take the brackets back off of the bags and re-mount them to the inside to accomplish this. But, the truth is I rarely use them, so have come to live with them as is as they fit my needs fine when attached. I'll try to upload some pics here to give you a better idea of appearance. The back rest is just the HD version with their quick release and docking hardware. http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m203/skips69/BagsnSissyBar-RH.jpg[/IMG]

I'd just like to add that my bags and brackets cost less than $500 total. I'm sure I could mount the brackets inside of the bags to get them closer to the struts for a cleaner look. Personally, I also think longer bags would look a little better (mine are 14" long, 10" deep, 6" wide). I researched the "Bubbas" and I think they are the cleanest looking with the bags off of the bike. I was not getting very good information on them at the time, concerning the install on a standard - it came across that I could only use them with HD detacheable bags and I was not interested in spending $800-$900 for their bags. I don't use mine very often, but when I do they serve my needs. I'd like the docking hardware to be a little more indiscriminant and cleaner looking, but all in all, for the money spent I am happy with them. 99% of the time I ride solo, and I love the lines of my bike as it is normally set up. The bags and backrest serve their purpose though and I'm good with them. I had no quality or tech issues with either, so cannot vouch for customer service one way or the other. You're going to go through one of the aftermarket company's anyway, so pick a good supplier. Good luck on your final decision - lot's of good choices out there.
