I put some miles on it today. I was a little curious about the Anti lock brakes, but they work as advertised after re-assembly. When I got home I gave it another once over checking all of the bolts torque.
found out the hard way that my brakes worked when a car pulled from between two cars that were in traffic into my lane, short story part of it, i ended up 100 feet in a farm field. i was glad there was no rain gully and the ground was hard. don't know how i did it, but i kept the bike up. the ahole pulled up an the road and shrugged his shoulders at me. when i started screaming at him he took off. if i had not been on dirt he would of had a new nose job
Damn, good to hear you're OK! About keeping it up, never had that problem, in the dirt, on the grass, pavement, just about anywhere. So did you hurt the bike at all?
I never thought I would like the anti lock brakes, but they saved my backside a few times. This was the first time I have ever had the rear end of a Softail apart, also one with anti lock brakes. I still can't get over the size of nuts my bike has...ha,ha...
