Those little C clips for the passenger pegs are a bitch if u don't have the proper tool.
Plus they wear out fast. A few weeks ago I put my passenger pegs on to take the ladyfriend out for a ride. As I went to pick her up, i didn't realize the clip came loose, and the stud/bolt/thing fell out and went bye-bye. That pressure clip inside was the only thing that kept the peg from falling off.
I replaced the clip and pivot bolt with a (i think?) 3/8" bolt and locknut. Now all i need is a could of 9/16" wrenches to put them on and take them off (aside from the 5/16" allen socket to put the inner bolt on to the frame.
A regular bolt is a good idea...I'm going to do that,After I bought the wrench to put the clips on lol.I regular bolt is just worry free that the clips won't fail.
